25th September 2025
On Saturday, November 29th, 2025, five remarkable individuals will embark on an extraordinary journey to summit Mount Kosciuszko, the tallest peak in Australia, to raise vital funds for Paralympics Australia. This event is about more than just reaching a summit; it’s an opportunity to highlight the spirit of inclusion and support for para-athletes. Among the participants, two will be using Mountain Trike, all terrain wheelchairs to facilitate their journey.
This one-day trek covers 18 km and begins in the town of Jindabyne, ascending from Charlotte Pass. The route features breathtaking views of alpine meadows, serene glacial lakes, and stunning rugged granite ridges, making it not just a physical challenge but also an inspiring adventure through some of Australia’s most beautiful landscapes.
Finch’s goal is to raise $12,500. Every dollar raised will go directly to supporting para-athletes by providing them with the necessary training, equipment, and resources they need to achieve their sporting goals.
Nico (Nicholas)
Nico is from rural Victoria, where he lives with his wife and their two children, who are on the verge of their teenage years. A devoted and fun-loving father, Nico finds joy in numerous hobbies, including traveling, gardening, music, art, and Lego collecting. He often enjoys outdoor excursions with his dog, using his Mountain Trike to explore local trails. Since receiving his Mountain Trike, Nico states that it has transformed his life, giving him newfound freedom to engage in outdoor adventures with his family. He can now traverse trails that were previously out of reach, helping him stay active and connected to his loved ones in meaningful ways.
Theus & Davina
Theus and Davina, a dynamic husband-and-wife team from Tasmania, are passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle, with a shared love for exploring the great outdoors. Theus is particularly adventurous; he works as a radio announcer and has a keen interest in photography. He describes himself as an admirer of beauty, valuing authenticity and the importance of living fully in the moment. Since receiving his Mountain Trike, Theus reflects that “limitations have evaporated,” enabling him to venture further and explore more extensively than ever before. This experience has not only restored his independence but also allowed him to share the beauty of nature alongside Davina. Together, they navigate rough terrains effortlessly, creating lasting memories and cherishing each moment spent in the great outdoors.
