Control, opportunity, and innovation: a new chapter begins for the all-terrain wheelchair specialist.
Cheshire, UK – May 2025. Mountain Trike, the UK-based manufacturer of all-terrain wheelchairs, is proud to announce a major step forward in its manufacturing capabilities. The company has recently invested in a state-of-the-art Kemppi TIG welder and established a new in-house Fabrications Bay, enabling full control over the production of its wheelchair frames.
Previously manufactured by long-standing partner GB Engineering, the production of the Trike frames was brought in-house following the closure of GB Engineering at the end of last year, due to the passing of its owner. While this marked the end of a valued partnership, it also presented Mountain Trike with a new opportunity to innovate and expand.
The move brings several strategic benefits:
Talking about the change, Tim Morgan, Managing Director, said:
"Bringing the fabrication of our Trike frames in-house marks an exciting milestone. Not only does it give us greater control and efficiency, but it also supports local employment and skill retention. We're incredibly proud of this development and are excited about the new possibilities it brings."
This investment demonstrates Mountain Trike’s continued commitment to innovation, quality, and community — all while ensuring that their range of all-terrain mobility products remains at the cutting edge of design and performance.
