Mountain Trike, designer Tim Morgan, has a passion for sport and recognised that standard wheelchairs are almost impossible to use over less than perfect terrain and because of this created the practical off-road capable wheelchair. Whilst the Mountain Trike products aren’t specifically built or really used for participating in a sport - what customers have found them really useful for is getting them to their outdoor sporting activity or taking part in their sporting hobby.
Such as being used for accessing the uneven ground or woodlands for field archery or the muddy paddocks for motor-x racing or traveling across the bark at the riding stables - even traveling up and down the line whilst supporting their child on the football, hockey or rugby pitch.
Last year I set about fundraising for a Mountain Trike to help me continue with my passion for archery. I was delighted when ‘Moonshine’ finally arrived - I even had it custom sprayed! Having the Trike has meant I have been able to get out into the field and woods to practise my archery and take part in organised events and competitions.
I wouldn’t be without it and has meant I can continue inclusive participation in my sport.
