Muddy fields and dirt tracks are pretty impractical in a standard wheelchair, however, with the Mountain Trike so much more becomes accessible to you. Many of our customers have successfully taken the Mountain Trike to outdoor festivals such as Glastonbury and other music festivals, county shows, and outdoor events.
Our Mountain Trike products have been used by students to help them complete their Duke of Edinburgh award or to participate in outdoor school trips. Family or group camping trips are possible thanks to these all terrain wheelchairs. With its all terrain ability muddy fields are so much easier to handle and, with the lever drive system, you don’t get muddy hands! I found using the Mountain Trike brilliant whilst completing the expedition section of my Duke of Edinburgh. Due to my condition I have limited mobility so without the use of the Mountain Trike I wouldn’t have been able to complete the expedition so easily.
The use of the Mountain Trike enabled me to feel included within the group as I could keep up with everyone else without having to be pushed and the main thing is that the Mountain Trike is great when used on rough and uneven surfaces.
